Launch Day: FreeFlowCharts Is Live

After two intense weeks of building, we're thrilled to announce that var(--t-text)]">FreeFlowCharts is officially live at [freeflowcharts.app.

What started as a simple idea — "Why isn't there a truly free, beautiful flowchart tool?" — has become a full-featured app with AI superpowers.

Real-time auto-save: to the cloud via Firebase

AI-powered features: generate entire flowcharts from a text prompt, get smart suggestions, optimize your flows, and generate summaries

The stack

We built this with React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, React Flow for the canvas, Firebase for auth/database/storage, and Google's Gemini AI for the smart features. Hosted on Netlify with a custom domain on Cloudflare.

What's next

Since launch, we've shipped shareable public links, a free public API for AI agents, 7 visual themes with custom backgrounds, and 4 export formats (JSON, Mermaid, SVG, PNG). We're now working on a searchable template gallery, team collaboration, and more AI modes. If you have ideas, we'd love to hear them.
