About FreeFlowCharts

FreeFlowCharts is a free, browser-based diagram platform. We build tools people can use immediately — no signup wall, no watermarks, no forced trial — because clear diagrams should not require a credit card.

Who we are

FreeFlowCharts is built and maintained by imagey.ai, an independent product studio focused on practical AI and creator tools. The FreeFlowCharts team writes the product, the engineering blog, and the educational guides on this site.

You can reach us at [email protected]. We typically reply within one to two business days.

Why we built this

Most diagram tools force a signup before you can draw a single box. Others free-tier with watermarks, export limits, or expire your work after a trial. We wanted the opposite: open the page, build a flowchart (or org chart, mind map, pie chart, or Venn diagram), export, and share — without creating an account first.

We also saw a gap for programmatic diagram creation. AI agents, chatbots, and automation scripts need a simple HTTP API that returns a shareable diagram URL. FreeFlowCharts ships a free REST API for all five diagram types (rate-limited, no API key required for standard use). See the API documentation.

Optional Pro ($7.99/month) funds the free tier. Pro unlocks AI generation across every diagram type and an ad-free experience. Core editors, export, themes, and sharing stay free forever.

What you can make

  • Flowcharts — process maps, decision trees, SDLC, support flows (20+ node types, swimlanes, themes)
  • Org charts, pie / donut charts, mind maps, and Venn diagrams — each with a dedicated editor and API
  • Export to PNG, SVG, JSON, or Mermaid; live share links; embed iframes; optional AI assist for Pro users

Our content

This site is not only a product shell. We publish practical guides on flowchart symbols, templates, Mermaid embedding, API usage for agents, and real use cases (onboarding, CI/CD, support escalation). The blog also covers how we built the canvas, payments, and AI features — so developers can learn from the engineering as well as the diagrams.

Articles are written by the FreeFlowCharts team at imagey.ai. We update guides when product capabilities change. If something is wrong or unclear, email us — we fix documentation the same way we fix bugs.
